Cost of Afghanistan war and foreign aid
So far the cost for the war in Afghanistan, up until March 2012 was £17.3billion. By the time it is eventually wound-up it is estimated that it will have cost another £800million. However most probably it will be twice as much, as this is always with estimates. Added to this, there will be a $25billion to fund the Afghan forces. So all in all it will have cost at least £50billion while all the countries involved struggle to survive. Add to this the cruel cost in loss of life, injuries and broken down family units and the cost is incalculable. Does such a waste make sense? Definitely not to the ordinary people who have been squeezed to the limit and beyond. Read More Here
