Should David Cameron worry about defections to UKIP?

Picture
UKIP, the United Kingdom Independence Party, has been riding the crest of a wave of popularity in 2013. The number of UKIP supporters is on the increase and according to the latest reports their political ranks are swelling with Tory defectors.
Supporters of UKIP come from across the political spectrum as disenchanted people from the left, right and centre politics join UKIP. This will be a cuase for concern for all party leaders but especially for Tory leader David Cameron. PM Cameron is fighting rebels in his ranks regarding British EU membership and his stance on gay marriage. It seems gay marriage is another step too far for conventional right-wing Tories in the UK. Repressive Bahraini regime uses British spyware to monitor activists online

Picture
Bahrain is one country that was forgotten by many as the Arab Spring of 2011 concluded. It is however a country with an unsettled outlook. Some protests have taken place but the Bahraini regime quashed any hopes of an organized uprising with a security crackdown in February 2011. They have achieved this in part by spying on Bahraini citizens online using British spy software and malware. British made equipment monitors Skype conversations, tracks emails and observes social networking activity of those opposing the regime.................more

United States has less gold than believed

Picture
By Peter B. Meyer – 19th of May 2013
The contents of Chris Weber’s book, ‘Good as Gold’, and an investigative report written by Chris Martenson, justifies the title of this essay. In 1949 the greatest amount of gold ever-assembled in one place – Fort Knox – saw at least 80% of that gold go overseas. This was caused in pursuit of a policy that even the most Keynesian of Keynesians thought was wrong, as clarified the great free-market economists Hayek, von Mises, Schumpeter, c.s. Officially the US still has the most gold of any nation, estimated at 7.000 tons, but no one knows that for sure, as even the quality of what is left is doubtful too..........more

Do political groups and organizations deserve tax exemptions?

Picture
Julia Hanna
This is merely my opinion, and everyone has to decide this issue for themselves.  Many are outraged about having to pay taxes in the United States, but it is no secret that the tax code favors the wealthiest citizens of our country, whereas the IRS has recently implemented electronic systems that will primarily monitor .  ...........................more

Great British NHS sell-off includes confidential information

Picture
In case you were not already aware, it is official, the NHS is for sale. Inch by inch the nationalised NHS is being dismantled and replaced with privately owned and run companies. Just who runs these companies is important. Foreign investors may bring money into the UK but some will not care one iota about the health of British nationals.
