Lord John Prescott claims credit card cloned

Lord John Prescott has hit back at reports that he and his officials maxed out the government credit card.

His explanation for the huge excesses, he appeared to have charged to the card, have more than a ring of truth to them. He maintains that the card was cloned. As he has pointed out some of the bills happened at the same time at opposite sides of the world.

Although it is possible to order online and by the telephone it is not possible to physically purchase in China and the UK at the same time.  Mr Prescott has now rightly asked for an investigation to be launched. We are so used to politicians exploiting expenses in the UK it is easy to believe rumours of wrongdoing.

This time though they could be false. Apologies if they are.
