This hard stance on the EU will add to the Tory woes. Leading Conservatives such as David Cameron and William Hague are known Euro sceptics. It seems though that they do not want the people to have any say in UK membership
Ed Miliband was quick to attack David Cameron using the vote to highlight flaws in the unity of the current government.
The government it seems is not totally discounting a referendum at some non-specific time in the future, but just not now.
