There has been an ongoing investigation in the UK into allegations of corruption. The phone hacking scandal began the investigations and the extent of the problems is only now becoming clear. It seems that in the UK there has been corruption and wrong doing by some in the media for many a year. However it is not just the media.
Eight arrests today included a police officer, a serving member of the Armed Forces, a female Ministry of Defence employee, and five Sun journalists. They have been arrested in connection with claims of illegal payments to police and public officials.
In what has become normal practice the names of the journalists have been revealed. The others have not. Arrests in the past, that included a police officer and journalists, followed a similar path. Either name them all or name none of them. It should not be trial by the media and all should be innocent until proven guilty.
