With the Olympics a few short months away ticket touts have been trying to ply their wares. Yesterday May, 5, 2012, outside of Wembley Stadum touts were targeting football fans who attended the 2012 FA Cup final.
Whether the tickets are genuine or fake could be an issue, as with so few tickets originally available online, there cannot be many flooding the market. Touts usually charge extortionate prices for the tickets they sell also. Yesterday a police presence was on hand and this resulted in the arrest of eight suspected Olympic ticket touts,
If you decide to take a chance and buy from an unregulated source therefore you could buy a fake ticket, pay far too much and also end up in trouble with the law. You will be just as guilty if you are caught buying from a tout or trying to gain entry with a fraudulent ticket.
Yesterday plain clothes officers from the Metropolitan police operation's team acted before the FA Cup final. The eight men arrested are reportedly all aged between 22 and 45. They are being held at a North London police station. The Met has reiterated that if you want Olympic tickets you should only buy from reputable sellers, that is approved retailers.
