Three tiger cubs, previously known as 1, 2 and 3, or should that be one, two and three, have put in a public appearance at a Sydney Zoo. Aged just two months old they are at they so cute stage.

The rare Sumatran cubs have wowed visitors to the Zoo by putting in a public appearance. Up until now they had been kept out of the public eye. Finally today, October 25, 2011, the public got a brief view of the small show offs.

The zoo will hold a competition to name the three cubs, one female and two males. The Zoo owners have said that they will be looking to choose names that reflect the Sumatran tiger's roots.

Although it is always sad to think of animals born into captivity.that will live out their days in a Zoo. it is probably the safest place for them these days. Estimates put the total amount of Sumatran tigers living in the wild in Indonesia at around 400. Their habitat continues to be destroyed and poachers have no qualms at killing these animals.

It is possible to visit the Sydney Zoo and see the tiger cubs but they will not be on daily show just yet. Like all young creatures they tire easily and need plenty of sleep. You can however see the video of the first public appearance, as it is shown below. Altogether now, Ahh.
