14-month-old Angel Babcock was found alone in a field, after last week's storms in the US had wrecked the family home. The Babcock mobile home was devastated and miles from the field where young Angel was found. Sadly Angel died today.
Her parents, brother and sister were all killed when the tornado hit their mobile home. Angel had been in hospital in a critical condition since last week's storms. When she was found in the field Angel had head injuries.
The devastation in the parts of the US affected by the storms has been severe. Whole communities have been wiped out. Buildings and businesses have also gone. Angel's death brings the death toll to 39.
President Obama has said that the federal emergency management agency is standing by to offer help and support. On Friday March 2, 2012 around 90 tornadoes struck adding to the damage already experienced.
