Both men entered pleas of not guilty leading to Lee's young widow breaking down.
The trial will begin at the Old Bailey, London, on November 18. The men now want to be called by their Muslim names -- Adebolajo, from Romford in Essex, has asked to be known as Mujaahid Abu Hamza in court, while Adebowale, from Greenwich, south east London, has asked to be called Ismail Ibn Abdullah reports the Metro.
Lee was murdered in broad daylight on a busy street in Woolwich, an area of London. The young fusilier stood no chance when he was attacked. A post mortem confirmed he had died from mutiple wounds. His head was almost severed in the vicious attack.
Both suspects were at the scene when police arrived and were shot. Footage of the attack incriminating both men was available online, via sources such as youtube.
British justice however demands that both men "have their day in court" and face justice.
Every effort will be made to prevent a fair trial being jepordised. Lee, his widow and his family deserve justice. Not guilty pleas will mean that the gruesome details of Lee's murder will be played over..
