_Many people in the UK thought that those bad old day's of Margaret Thatcher were eventually gone, and gone for good. But oh no, the moment the Conservatives and their coalition partners won the election they started up again.

In opposition, David Cameron kept sneering across the House of Commons, at Mr Brown how unemployment had risen, how many debts his party were adding to the country and so on. Willingly or should that be willfully, forgetting that it was the global credit crunch and not simply the responsibility of Labour nor Gordon Brown. As a matter of fact, under the circumstances, this blogger believes that Mr Brown did a fantastic job, when he was in office. Always trying to make sure that ordinary UK citizens did not have to suffer too much hardship, whilst at the same time steering the ship through very troubled waters.

At the height of this financial crisis Britain had 1.5million people unemployed but now it is heading for the 3million mark.

Now just in one day UK news has carried details of impending job cuts and trading gloom. Ulster Bank is to cut its staff by 900 posts, RBS by 3,500, and lingerie company La Senza has declared bankruptcy and said that 300 jobs will be lost. Tesco experienced a very low Christmas trade. Halford's sales have dropped too.

Doesn't it all sound very familiar to those bad old days of Margaret Thatcher?

However, at the same time as this economic gloom the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority received a £3.5million expenditure claim from UK MPs. Well, I ask you? A £3,5million claim for what? I am glad David Cameron thinks that we are in this together. Wouldn't we like to be in this together, being able to make such claims.

HOW DARE THEY AT A TIME LIKE THIS?

As previously pointed out, David Cameron's statement that he will not sign the new treaty for the EU cannot be trusted either. There were many indicators to this when he returned from Brussels, sol triumphant.

Two days ago his Deputy PM, Nick Clegg, from the coalition and leader of the Liberal Democrats hinted that David Cameron will sign the treaty the next time he goes to Europe. He also stated that Cameron will give £30million to the IMF, international monetary fund.

Yet this same Prime Minister keeps saying that 2012 will be another year of tightening belts for citizens of the UK.. How could he do this to his own people? More hypocrisy.
