David Cameron held a Cabinet meeting in which he was told by the majority of his ministers to sack Andrew Lansley, the UK Health Secretary, and to drop the Health Bill. He was further warned that he would lose public trust if he continued.
David Cameron still doesn't seem to see it and will carry on. Lansley plans to open up the NHS to private companies, and now comes the most amazing factor, he is willing to transfer the £100billion budget to GPs (doctors).
Not only would all these new measures dismantle the NHS but how can the government give away £ the NHS and a 100billion in a cash strapped economy.
Tim Montgomery, former chief of Staff, revealed this secret meeting in an online article. His close friends Owen Paterson, Michael Gove, Ian Duncan Smith and Sir George Young were immediately under suspicion as to who had spilled the beans. Another source also admitted that 12 of ouf 23 Cabinet Ministers voted against the Health reforms
Of course, No 10 Downing Street's spokesman said that every Cabinet minister was in favour of the Health Reform and agreed with Lansley. Mr Lansley added that the only problem against the Health Reform would come from the Lib Democrats.
Shadow Health Secretary Andy Burnham stated that it was a disgrace to be forced to go to the website to tell Mr Cameron the damage he is doing. Andy Burnham also pointed out that Cameron promised to protect the NHS. Further news was revealed that Ed Miliband, the Labour Leader, wrote to the House of Lords and urged them not to vote for the Health Reform bill.
The British Medical Association, Royal College of Nursing, Royal College of GPs and the Royal College of Midwives oppose totally David Cameron's Health Reform. With these great institutes and 12 Cabinet Ministers out of 23 not in favour surely the message is loud and clear. Surely David Cameron must realize that nobody wants the Health Reform bill.
