What is Zoomarine?
Zoomarine is a type of theme park. It plays a part in marine conservation and has events throughout the day. Zoomarine, in the Algarve, includes a small funfair, a museum, a marine aquarium, outdoor bathing pools with adjoining area, cafes, green areas, bird displays, reptiles, dolphin shows and more. There is a Zoomarine in Portugal and in Italy. Zoomarine Portugal is a short coach journey outside of Albufeira on Portugal's southern coast, The Algarve. What made us pick Albufeira for a two week vacation?
As you will have guessed, from some of my other Hubs, I absolutely love the Greek Islands. However sometimes the accommodation in the Greek Islands leaves a little to be desired. We had visited Madeira in recent years and loved everything about it. As Madeira is a Portuguese Island we thought we would go the whole hog and visit mainland Portugal. Just how we decided on Albufeira as a destination I am not sure. Possibly the travel company offered us a good deal and we thought why not.
