Germany warns Cyprus
On Saturday Cyprus became the latest casualty of the EU crisis. The IMF, international monetary fund, agreed to a bail out of the country's banks but at a price. Savers were to take a hit with a one off tax of up to 10%. Those who would be affected protested....more
German Pro Deutschland plan Anti Islam film screening
A far right political group in Germany is planning to screen the" Innocence of Muslims" in a Berlin movie theatre.This film is already responsible for ongoing protests in the Middle East and beyond. You may say that it is not the film that is to blame for the deaths and violent protests which have ensued but rather the protesters, but that is too simple an explanation. More Here
Eurozone crisis - German demands
The leading lights of Europe have been meeting in Davos, Switzerland, this weekend to discuss a way forward for the Eurozone. Virus sweeping through Europe killing livestock

A new virus is sweeping through Europe killing and deforming animal fetuses. The virus is believed spread by small, biting insects known as midges. Where I live we call these tiny bugs noseeums. Ticks and mosquitoes are also on the suspect list. It is believed that pregnant animals were infected by biting midges in late summer or early autumn. Sheep are currently showing up as the hardest hit group, but that may only be because they give birth earlier in the spring than cattle.............. More |

As the economies of so many countries in Europe have hit the skids one country has been portrayed as invincible. Germany has appeared as the prudent traditional housewife of Europe watching the cents in order to protect the Euros. Her Economy has gone from strength to strength and to date Germany has been holding the purse strings as far as EU bail outs go.....more
Germany, what price religion
What price religion? In some parts of the World it is exclusion or hatred but in Germany the price of religion is an additional tax burden. This is now resulting in a mass exodus from some religions. The Catholic Church in Germany has been hit hard. With recent accusations of child abuse by some priests some Catholics are opting to turn their backs on the Church. The bonus is that they will pay less tax. More Here
German Army operation regulations relaxed
After the Second World War steps were taken in order to try and ensure the future safety of the World, in particular Europe and the German people. The German Army had swept the people along when they took power, leading to such a string of terrible events. One means used was to limit the power of the German Army in the Homeland. Since the 1940's and the end of the War the German Army have been banned from using their weapons in Germany. More Here
