UK offers IMF extra £10bil

Well hold on to your hat here it comes. The UK government has offered £10bn ($15bn) in loans to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to help economies in trouble. WHAT! I hear you scream. The IMF, international monetary fund, managing director Christine Legarde is hoping to swell the coffers considerably. She wants an increase of $400bil. Of course other countries are being asked to contribute.......More

It has been another funny old week in the UK. It seems nothing will "play ball". The UK drought has become a huge joke, as the heavens open yet again and some regions are put on flood alert. Chancellor George Osborne continues to preach austerity and a reduction in local funding and jobs, whilst offering a further £10bil in loans to the IMF, international monetary fund. This money is on top of £30bil already committed to the same source.......... More
