Finally for the families of Christopher Alder and Grace Kamara a little peace has been found. In what became a harrowing time for all concerned. Late in 2011 it was discovered that Christopher Alder's deceased body had not actually been buried some time ago but instead had remained at Hull City Mortuary for the last 14 years. This left one big unanswered question. Just who was buried in Mr Alder's grave?
It was assumed that it was the body of Grace Kamara. When relatives had at last been able to call to collect her body they wanted to view the remains. That was when it was discovered that it was not Grace but actually Christopher Alder in the Hull Mortuary. Not even a body of the same sex. The one defining character was that both people had black skin.
The "Alder" grave was exhumed this week and Grace Kamara's body was found.
Christopher Alder was let down so many times by the local authorities. His death in police custody left more unanswered questions and no person held responsible. There remains much to trouble his loved ones. Chris was a war veteran who deserved so much more than the poor treatment he experienced.
For now at least the Kamara and Alder family have been able to lay their loved ones to rest. For Christopher justice still needs to be served. RIP
