However picking over his well-rehearsed interview, which no doubt was helped along by his highly paid campaign managers, it was more of the same:
Friday as the commons vote was being followed by many mainstream media publications the Independent commented:
"Reports are starting to emerge of a small pro-ISIL rally taking place in Istanbul. Several Turkish twitter users have begun to post photographs to the social-media site showing several-dozen men outside Galatasaray Lycee on Istiklal Street. Although the general populous view them as on the fringe and fanatical, many in Turkey share a deep mistrust of America".
Perhaps it was those US led Special Forces on the ground holding the pro-ISIL rally? That may sound farfetched but it is far from that.
ISIL are monsters but who funded them, where did they came from and what the real western agenda is remains a mystery to most of we little people. The UK government's lost Commons vote of 2013 shocked Cameron and US President Obama. A great deal of work has been done since then mainly behind the scenes to ensure Friday's vote passed.
But here is a question for you - did ISIL begin from this Saudi death row inmates fight Assad or face execution?
