Opinion: A survey by WSJ/NBC indicates that many Americans are not happy with their countries current foreign policy. It claims many back an anti—interventionist stance, a mood which crosses political boundaries.
With so many problems at home can you blame them?
Western countries pay a huge foreign price in time, money and manpower. As perhaps the last remaining super-power, at this time, Americans may feel that their country is called on far too often to sort out the ills of the world. In doing so they have alienated people from may countries.
But here's the thing. In this writers opinion the world is in this volatile, conflict ridden state, right now because of US interference.
These days we know that the US has actively manipulated events in many countries. It leads the UN and NATO, some would say funding both for its own ends, and is not averse to staging uprisings across the world.
If the US decides to pull back let's hope it puts everything back in Pandora's box and seals it tight before it does.
