"Riot police called in as violent clashes break out across France after far-right National Front win dramatic gains in local elections" writes the Mail Online.
Commentary: The electoral success of the French anti-immigration and anti-Europe party, the Front National, should offer a warning to other European leaders. Austerity measures, unemployment and poverty are fuelling a rise in the far right. Those who feel they need someone to blame are laying many of their troubles at the door of migrant works and immigrants. The same events are fuelling a rise in fascism in too many European countries.
And Europe has been here before!
