Also in Paris a "man described as having a Middle Eastern appearance assaulted a Jewish 17-year-old girl on a Paris street near the Gare du Nord train station by spraying her in the face with pepper-spray, BNVCA reported last week.
The online world is full of tweets, comments, posts and reports about the current crisis. Those who look for any excuse to launch a verbal attack on Muslims have quickly jumped on the bandwagon, citing the synagogue attack and other incidents as proof that all Muslims are bad.
However, reading some of the comment thread on Israeli propaganda articles posted online the hate is not one-sided. The people of Gaza are being called anything from a pig to a dog as pent up hate spills out.
Last weekend the Independent reported on a photo which reportedly showed Israelis gathered to eat popcorn and watch as Gaza is slowly annihilated. The Independent reported "A Danish newspaper says there was clapping among the ‘spectators’ on the conflict ‘when blasts are heard’. "Allan Sørensen, who posted the image, wrote that it showed a kind of “cinema” on the hilltop outside the Israeli town of Sderot, and a caption added: “Clapping when blasts are heard.”
That image ultimately sparked outrage but it highlights there is wrong on all sides.

Israelis may prefer that we in the west read their sanitized propaganda but some of us would prefer the truth. How many times have you read the number of missiles Gaza has fired into Israel and wondered how many have Israel launched. That information is harded to find.
The Israelis and their supporters, like so many who wage war, may believe they have God, or right, or both, on their side. The people of Gaza and their supporters will believe the same.
An increase in Europe and other countries of religious hate is sadly inevitable. Israel and Gaza trade missiles and supporters in other countries take up the fight.
