"The bra is a result of a study called Food And Mood: Just-in-Time Support For Emotional Eating, authored by researchers from the University of Southampton, Microsoft Research and the University of Rochester, USA."
The scientific study aimed to find a way of intervening before a person reaches for a food treat simply because of their mood. The smart bra is still in the early stages of research but looks promising.
Sensors collect data based on heart-rate and other factors to determine the wearer's mood before sending advice such as breathing exercises to an app.
The prototype looks a bit cumbersome but every modern day invention starts big and gets smaller -- take the mobile phone as an example.
With that in mind a skimpy smart bra could be on the cards.
Will there be an option for men? If so what will it be a smart vest?
