Piers Morgan, was targeted by offensive Twitter trolls previously and tweeted in support of Collymore: "I repeat, racist abuse & death threats both criminal offences in UK. So keep spewing it, trolls, and I will have you ALL dealt with."
Humorous tweets are one thing but abuse is obvious. We all know when the red-line has been crossed.
Remember to protect your identity online, block abusers or people you do not want to interact with and above all report abuse. If you are a British citizen use www.report-it.org.uk.
As for Mr Collymore Twitter said they do not comment on individual cases but are keen to say that abuse is against the site rules and should be reported to them
The point is though, when will they act on your report?
Thursday update: Stan Collymore deleted his Twitter account after calling on Twitter to do more to stop abuse on its social networking site.
