Many western internet users are appalled at revelations that government lackeys have spied on their online activity. They claim to spy in the name of freedom and security but what about others? What about internet giant Google spying on you purely for mercenary reasons?
An online petition lays out the case for putting a stop to Google. That company certainly dominates the internet and is making huge sums of money out of us all. We have no problem with entrepeneurs but it is long past the time when new entrepeneurs should be rivaling Google. The monopoly should be broken, making the internet more competitive and hopefully protecting our privacy and freedom.
If you feel uncomfortable knowing that google goes through your emails, personal and otherwise, in order to sell ads read the following petition and add your signature. Make a stand whilst you still have the freedom to do so but please make sure you read the final thoughts at the bottom of this report first.
Google earns money by violating your privacy. They go through every word of your personal Gmail so they can target you with ads.
Final thought: Currently Microsoft are running TV ads in the UK bragging that they are different to google and your emails are safe in their hands. In fact Microsoft appear to be behind the above petition. If they are then it is financially motivated. Still the message is right even if the motive is suspect.
However remember Microsoft does not have a good track record either: Edward Snowden leaks reveal Microsoft gave the NSA access to encrypted messages.
Perhaps it is time to call them all out.
