A couple's wedding vows were hardly uttered before the hot-air balloon, where the ceremony was taking place, crashed to earth.
A Californian couple chose to get married in a hot-air balloon. A strange choice of venue when you consider both are frightened of heights. The venue still appealed though and the wedding took place at sunset. The dream wedding was picturesque, different and ultimately became one scary experience.
Kerin and Jonathan Narcisse, and their wedding party, were in the hot-air balloon when a gust wind blew it off course. The couple had said their vows but there was not time to seal the deal with a kiss.
The balloon bumped as it made contact with the ground before crashing to earth. It landed in the garden of a residential property. There were 14 people in the balloon and is reported by SkyNews as sustaining a minor back injury.
In true 21st century style one of the wedding guests captured the crash on video. The balloon fell to earth in the back-yard of a San Diego home. The property was not damaged. The couple were able to hold their wedding reception following the crash.
A lucky escape by all and definitely a story for the future grand-kids.
