The World's richest woman Australian mining tycoon Gina Rinehart has been in the news this week. Using arrogant ill thought out words she has told the less affluent in society exactly what she thinks of them and what they should do to turn their lives around.
Rinehart said, "If you're jealous of those with more money, don't just sit there and complain," she said in a magazine piece. "Do something to make more money yourself -- spend less time drinking or smoking and socialising, and more time working."
"There is no monopoly on becoming a millionaire," she said by way of encouragement. "Become one of those people who work hard, invest and build, and at the same time create employment and opportunities for others."
There you are all the advice you need to amass a fortune, Of course that is not how Rinehart became the richest woman in the world. She inherited her fortune.
Rinehart does not seem able to grasp that not everyone in society wants to be rich. Some just want to be able to live comfortably. To be able to claim a fair wage for a far day's work. You may find this hard to belive Ms Rinehart but we do not envy you but rather we pity you and your narrow mind.
According to the LA Times, she went on, "Why are people poor? Rinehart blamed what she described as "socialist," anti-business government policies, and urged Australian officials to lower the minimum wage and cut taxes. "The millionaires and billionaires who choose to invest in Australia are actually those who most help the poor and our young," she said. "This secret needs to be spread widely."
How many more times do we have to listen to this garbage of the wealthy wanting to pay less taxes whilst workers are paid a pittance. If it worked it would have done so already. When taxes have been low, and so have wage, nothing ever improved. You can work for a couple of dollars or pounds or whatever an our till you are fit to drop but you will never have a living wage let alone be able to get rich. There is so much wrong with her words but if you need that explaining you are beyond redemption.
Get real woman.
What a bitch. Of course other more fitting expletives come to my mind but we will not sink to the level of Rinehart. Her words do show a terrible ignorance of how many people live. As she grows ever fatter on wealth created by others she has little idea of the hard realities of life. She also shows a distinct lack of brain power by generalising about whole sections of communities. Those who do so prove their stupidity on a regular basis.
Rinehart has inherited a family iron ore prospecting fortune of $30.1 billion. Shame she has not used even a little of the money to educate herself.
