The latest two bodies were recovered late Friday. The ferry has settled on its side but it is in deep waters making the work dangerous for divers. It is in 40 metres of water and the divers face many hazards, including poor weather conditions. Divers have checked much of the vessel but the search for the remaining 29 goes on.
The crew was arrested in the days following the tragedy and Saturday the South China Morning Post reports "A court warrant was issued late on Friday to arrest the head of Chonghaejin, Kim Han-sik, Prosecutor Yang Jong-jin. He faces charges of manslaughter through negligence and breaches of vessel safety laws, Yonhap news agency said."
There are reports that the ferry was habitually overloaded with cargo. A criminal investigation is underway.
